This is about as close as we can come to the previous ideas you had suggested. The splatter paw didn't have enough contrast and was hard to recognize. With the current proof, we should have no problems with logo recognition from any distance and we are 90% sure that it will be approved by the SIU Athletics department for use. Check it and let me know what you think.

We were also thinking of getting some type of lanyard done too. Once the logo is finalized and we get some more concrete ideas for items to sell we will probably post something or I will email it out so people can order. We will either take orders ahead of time or just try to get an idea and do runs of the various items. We will try to post the designs on here so people will know what the items will look like. If anyone else has any ideas of other promotional ideas let us know. Come on, don't you just love the Egyptian Saluki... Yes that will get changed too. SIUC Paintball Club President

While were on the subject of next years jerseys check out this company their a bit pricey but they are worth every penny, and will/could last at least 5 years and their super cool. unfortunately they don't have saluki maroon as a stock color but they do offer all black or you could get them custom made. http://www.tanked.tv/ I am not sure what kinda funding the SG or the sports club people will cover but its worth a shot.

The athletic department owns that paw design so they have the final say about how it use it. But that idea is a good idea. We can look into it. For now the new logo has cost us $50 so far for designing. SIUC Paintball Club President

I didn't even know we were allocating funds for a designer so fifty bucks is a big shock for me...I guess the spending is somewhat prudent because we are playing class A next year and therefore we definitely need look good but still, $50? Lets make sure the new logo is in maroon this time and not in red (like our jerseys). -Andrew

Graphic design was nearly what I was going to go to college for and I used to design tshirts for bands and still do side jobs every now and then if I find the time. Although $50 dollars isn't horrible at all for the design. Sadly for another semester I have been lazy...and poor.

I've had design quotes for a logo for my woodsball team and $50 was a small price to pay. Most people ask for double. The good thing is, at least we know who to hit up the next time we need something designed!

Hell I at least had plans to make it out to a practice or two and play and haven't done that. Me playing will consist of over the summer and playing Chicago Open which I don't even know if I am gonna be able to fill a roster for that/have money.
